How to Get Around
Public transit in Portland is frequent, easy, and safe. You can tap to pay for fares with either your phone or a credit card when you board.
The Hyatt Regency has its very own MAX Light Rail stop for traveling to and from the airport. We HIGHLY recommend taking advantage of the MAX if you’re staying at the Hyatt—the MAX trip will be 28 mins which might be faster than an Uber if there’s heavy traffic, and the fair is only $2.80 per person compared to $50 or more for an Uber.
And you won’t have to walk anywhere with your luggage for the MAX, your stop is literally outside of the hotel!
The TriMet bus system is also great/easy/clean and it will take you directly to Peninsula Park Rose Garden for our Wedding Ceremony.
For anyone staying at The Hyatt Regency, you’ll take a short 4 min walk down the street to the Rose Quarter Transit Center. From there, you’ll take the 4-Fessenden line north to the N Albina & Ainsworth stop—that’s it, you’re at Pennisula Park Rose Garden!
You can use https://trimet.org to plan your trips.
For ease of use, we’ve listed Trimet Stop ID numbers for the Hyatt, Rose Quarter Transit Center, Pennisula Park Rose Garden, The Baker Building and The Portland Airport.
You can use the ID numbers below as your start or end points for easy navigating on the TriMet Trip planner without having to be too familiar with crossstreets.
